I can confirm that switching from wired to wireless Roku connection "fixes" the Gotham Sports App. Ridiculous situation. Shame on the developers at Gotham.
Obviously, I run Roku wired for a reason and would like to continue to do so. Please get this fixed OR how about Roku allowing dual interfaces active ?!!!
Gotham App 1.1, build 39. Mine has not updated and does not show any available.
Well, I thought it was all resolved but the issue came back on the very next time I tried to use it. It's so frustrating and honestly I find it a little ridiculous that as a customer it's my responsibility to report this issue with a vendor of your company. With no other company do I have to report issues with their product. SMH
I'll have to try the wireless fix since neither of these companies can get this resolved for their customers. If it was up to me I will return the Roku because it works fine on my television native app.

Changing to wireless connection finally fixed the issue for me.
FYI - If your Roku remains hard-wired, like mine always is, then it will revert to wired connection when it restarts (apparently wired is preferred over wireless). Therefore, the Gotham App with again simply crash when trying to play over wired ethernet connection. All that is needed is to switch the ROKU back over to the wireless connection (password is remembered). Or un-plug the ethernet cable - but obviously there is a REASON some of us want to (or need to) use the WIRED connection.
In my case, I keep the ROKU running wired to ethernet and simply switch to wireless interface before watching a game.
Gotham App Developers: You need to function properly with EITHER wired or wireless interface active. Do not assume wireless, and really you should not simply crash to home screen when wireless network connection is not available. Particularly when a wired connection is perfectly functional. Fix it. This is not hard. This is not hard at all. Embarrassing, I might even go so far as to say.
Same issue here and "fix" of switching to wireless. This should be fixed already since the posters have identified where the issue lies. I don't care to hear the excuses from either Roku or Gotham. If it doesn't get fixed soon, I'll have to ditch the Roku and tell others to stay away.
I have just downloaded the Gotham Sports app and I am also having it crash every time I try to watch it. I am on wireless, tired all the tips and it still wont play anything. It won't even show you the scores!
