Re: **bleep** Ads in "Top picks for you"
Thanks for the solution... Under Settings > Home Screen I was able to find all the settings to turn off that garbage. I don't care what the garbage is rated, I don't want to see it. The last 3 that were up led off with "She's too young", "Temptation Island", and "Undressed". These are some of the milder recommendations. Roku needs to really think through their advertising strategy.

Re: **bleep** Ads in "Top picks for you"
I understand that a "solution" has been shared in this thread, which is to simply disable the feature. I understand how to do that. The point I wanted to raise here is: Why is this happening at all? Is it not bizarre to have softcore adult entertainment being recommended by a major platform when your actual viewing habits do not include anything of that sort?
Another user in this thread pointed out to OP that the shows recommended to them are TV-14. That may be true for them, but it is definitely not the case for our devices. Here's some screenshots of the shows we were being recommended, all either TVMA or UR. I went through each one and hit * to select the option "I don't like this", which removed them from the home screen for the moment, but they still appear in the list if I select "show all".
I would love to see someone from Roku tell me it's intentional for this kind of content to be listed on the same screen as the latest Minions movie.

Re: **bleep** Ads in "Top picks for you"
Since some users seem to run into issues for inappropriate images and flagged using Roku Backdrops and their own screensavers when wearing bathing suits at a beach, perhaps @RokuMaryEF can have a moderator take some information and look into this issue.
Does seem like Roku should look into some of these approved movie posters/thumbnails.
----
I have some weird recommendations in my own feeds from helping users on this forum but these screenshots resemble more of a fetish website than a Roku Home Screen.
Just another Roku user... I am not a Roku employee.

P*** and inappropriate movies randomly popped up in my top picks for you
Innapropriate erotic show suggestions on my top picks randomly showed up. I've seen other people post with this problem recently and I'm posting to demand Roku to fix this. There are no previous searches on any device that would lead to suggest this. I've even checked my kids devices to be sure and this is highly inappropriate! If this isn't fixed within the week I'm replacing all of my tvs. I've turned on and off every setting imaginable and nothing fixes it. Things named Revenge P*rn and Deep Throat should never be suggestions on a TVs homepage, EVEN if you watch the stuff why would it show up on the homepage and why is there no setting to turn it off. Unbelievable. So disappointed.

Re: **bleep** Ads in "Top picks for you"
Yes, I got several of these. It just seems bizarre to me. I've had Roku TVs for probably 15 years. I've got one that is so old I've had to get a roku stick and put it on HDMI 1 so it operates fast enough to be tolerable. I've seen some odd recommendations, but nothing like I've gotten in the past week. I'm honestly a little thankful though, as it got me to go turn off things I didn't know I could turn off.

ads in the "Top Picks" all of a sudden.
Get these nasty movies from popping up in my top picks. I don't watch this filth, and neither will anyone in my household. I've changed all kinds of parental controls, but they're still there. This is disgusting!!!!!!!!

We are also having the same problem!!! Horrible! I hope Roku gets sued for this. We have children that they showed these “recommendations” to!!! The Roku is going tomorrow.

Re: Parental Controls NEED TO BE FIXED
I also came here to ask that they remove all of this **bleep**. I purchased this TV, on Friday, for my 4 year granddaughter. I will be returning it tomorrow and will NEVER by a ROKU tv again.
