Ok now have Sling showing on home page. But it is the free version. How do I get the pay version to appear on Roku? This is extremely frustating - I may return the three Roku sticks I purchased and replace with Firesticks.
You can either use the Settings or the Sign In options that you bring up with the Left arrow button when in the Sling app.
Why is this issue marked as solved? The "solution" only tells you how to find and remove an app that didn't appear on the home screen. Channels added through Roku's website (channelstore.roku.com) still don't appear on the Roku home screen.
Yes, you can search for the channel using the device menu (which can be very cumbersome) or search in the mobile app (which many people don't have installed), but many content producers and channel owners have links to the Roku channel store website so people can easily install their channel.
I have the same issue. Installed Starz on 2 Roku devices. One is fine but the other one does not show the app. If I search for it, I can open it from the search results (not a great way to do it). Tried your suggestion to uninstall it from the Roku App, but my Roku app doesn't give me a chance to uninstall apps. If can press on the app for 1 minute and as soon as I release the finger it would open the app
issue resolved. Now showing after using mobile app to delete and device to add.
Thanks!
After removing the problem/inivisible app using one of the two methods in the provided solution (mobile app or hidden menu), perform a System Restart on your Roku device, and then install install the desired channel/app from the Roku device. (do not use the online Channel Store, use Search on the device).

This is a random issue/synching bug. I currently run into more installation issues using the online Channel Store than I do if i install directly from the device. (I don't think i have more than two or three apps not show on the Home Screen when installing from the device Search).
Yes, I know how to do that, but it's a temporary fix, not a solution. The problem is that Roku's website-based channel store does not work properly. The solution to that problem is for Roku to fix the channel store issue so that channels added through the website show up on the Roku device's home screen.
The website channel store also has a problem with a broken infinite scroll causing a display of only a small number of channels per category.
@Brasal, try using the Search within the app to find the app and then see if there's an option to remove it when it's in the search results. You can also remove it on the device using the method described here:

I can search Paramount+ in the App Store, it has it checked and when I click it, I can open the app. How do I get the tile back on my Home Screen?
Remove the app using one of the methods described in this thread's solution. Then restart your Roku device and add the app via the device Search feature. (not the online Channel Store).
