This is a warning to others to subscribe directly through a streaming service instead of Roku because they will cheat you and not correct their mistakes. Two days before my annual subscription to #Peacock was set to end, they sent me a reminder. I was told my card would be charged $119.99. On the day of the renewal, I was charged $139.99 instead. Apparently #Peacock raised their prices but Roku didn’t notify me. I messaged and asked for a refund of $20 for the difference. They tried to tell me no at first until I sent a screenshot of the $119.99 price they quoted me. They agreed to process a $20 refund but immediately canceled my subscription. I messaged them about the error so they could re-activate my subscription. They wrote back that they “accidentally” canceled my subscription. Their solution was to refund me the remaining $119.99 and told me to go online and resubscribe. I find it awfully convenient that they did this so that I will now have to pay the full price of $139.99. That is NOT a solution to their two errors. It’s a bad way to do business.
