Subscription Cancellation Aggravation

Jump to solution

I love Roku, so don’t get me wrong….But….I find it to be annoying and counterproductive to have a pop-up that keeps trying to get me to auto-renew a subscription that I cancelled.  If you make a mistake when closing it you are likely to auto-renew by mistake.  This is why I hesitate to try something new.  Even if you cancel, someone in the house including me might hit auto-renew by accident.  Other than that, I just love Roku.

Hi, @Elle721.

Welcome to the Roku Community!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re so glad to hear that you love Roku, and we completely understand how frustrating it can be when you’re repeatedly prompted to auto-renew on a subscription you’ve already canceled. We’ll make sure to pass this along to our product team for further consideration.
In the meantime, we suggest double-checking that auto-renew is fully disabled in your account settings to prevent any accidental renewals. You may visit this support article on how to turn off auto-renew and cancel a subscription

Thanks again for your feedback, and we’re glad you continue to enjoy Roku!

Cheers,
Reynan

@Momma1971, if you don't/didn't have a Roku account it's likely a scammer using Roku's name.  Contact your financial institution to report the fraud.
