Roku Ultra unable to do screen mirroring on Windows 11

I have already done all of the network resetting, discovery resetting, screen mirroring resetting, as well as factory reset on the Roku, software updates, etc.

What happens is, Roku Ultra comes up in the screen mirroring tab for my computer, I can connect. The pear thing shows up on the Roku TV, then the loading bar for the screen mirroring pops up. It gets about 1/3rd of the way loaded, both the TV and laptop go black, and then ROKU goes back to its home screen.

It seems it is consistently failing on the load. They connect, then the mirroring fails. Tried disabling firewall on Windows 11 doesn't work.

I have done all of that. Like I said in my comment: roku attempts to connect, recognizes the computer is trying to connect, loads about 1/3 of the way, and then just doesn't connect. I have followed all of the wireless display things, I have tried changing the output (extended display, second display, mirror, etc) and it does not change the results.

Colton_James I'm mirroring my Windows 11 laptop to my Ultra 4850 as I type this. So it does work. I don't know if you have any sort of software on your laptop (VPN, anti-virus, firewall) beyond what Windows provides, but something sounds like it's interfering with your connection. I am using the standard Microsoft provided anti-virus and I have my firewall disabled on my home network. Both the laptop and Roku are connected to the same wireless access point, but that should not matter.

There is some sort of handshake between the laptop and Roku, as my laptop switched screen resolution a couple of times while the devices decided on what resolution to use. They settled on 2880x1800 at 120Hz, which is the native resolution of the laptop. It sounds like yours might be getting hung up on the handshake. I might suggest checking for a driver update for your laptop's video card.
