Oops... There was a problem connecting to the server. Please try again later.
I have a TV on guest mode for one of my Airbnbs and when they select their auto sign out date, they get this message: Oops... There was a problem connecting to the server. Please try again later. Also, when they try to disable guest mode with the pin i give them, they also get that same message This is really annoying and I don't even see this device as one of my linked devices in my account for some reason either. In fact, none of the TVs i put into guest mode remain a linked device in my account and that's been a concern of mine too.16KViews6likes18CommentsScreen mirroring from Android phone not working
I have read through the previous posts, but don't see any answer to the specific question. Hisense RokuTV 32A4NR, Motorola MOTO G Stylus with Android version 11. I am NOT trying to cast a specific APP but just use the native Screen Cast function of my Android phone to the Hisense Roku tv. YES, I am on the SAME wireless network, YES, both phone and tv are at the latest software, YES, I HAVE restarted both phone and tv. On the Roku tv I have: Settings-System-Screen Mirroring-Screen Mirroring Mode-Always Allow checked on. And Settings-System-Advanced System Settings-Device Connect-Enable 'Device Connect' checked on. When I try Screen Cast on my phone the Roku tv does not even show up in the available devices. I tried this on another Hisense tv, not Roku though, and it works flawlessly, being able to Screen Cast my main screen natively and then use any App on my phone.Solved15KViews1like4CommentsRoku Media Player not playing MP4
I have a USB plugged in with 12 MP4 files that I am wanting to play on a loop. Every time I try to play them I get a message saying "File Not Playable" then "The file might be damaged or corrupt". I had .jpeg files on the USB this morning and it worked fine. Anyone have experience with this?Solved14KViews1like23CommentsSound cutting out across multiple streaming services
Hi there. I have a new Roku Express 4K+. I am able to watch streams from various providers. However, every so often the sound cuts out. It is happening across multiple streaming providers, so the problem is not related to a particular streaming service. I had seen on a board that I should try changing my audio from auto to stereo, but doing so did not solve the problem. I have seen similar posts from other people, but I couldn't find a way to add a message to an existing post - my apologies for creating a new post. I don't know if there is a problem with my device and I need to exchange it for another one, if this is a common, unresolved problem with Roku devices, or if there is a configuration setting I need to change. Can you please advise how I should proceed? Thanks!Solved12KViews1like3Commentsquirky problem with usb and roku player
ROKU ULTRA 2019. 4670X UPDATED a problem just arose over the past week or two and without me fiddling with any settings whatsoever if i add content(mp4) to an ssd drive and pop it into the usb port, the roku player will list contents of another ssd, not the one i just connected. the first thing that came to mind is that the roku player is reading something in cache. my procedure has been to disconnect the ssd drive and restart the player by powering off for 2minutes, then reconnect the ssd. this of course is annoying i do not want to hassle a factory reset but it's the only thing i can think of. thx allSolved7.3KViews0likes4CommentsExcessive AV Skew. What application can do with this error?
Hello everyone, I am a Brightscript developer looking to understand the Excessive AV Skew error. I have been notified by users that the application I was working on was causing them to encounter the "Excessive AV Skew" error. I'm attempting to determine whether the application itself has any influence over this. The Roku player is an independent component, and I don't really have any control over the audio and video synchronisation. I'm curious as to why the error might be occurring, whether it has to do with the overall performance of the app and the amount of memory available to the player to buffer the content, or whether there might be a problem with the content itself.Solved2.9KViews0likes2CommentsSmart View won't connect to my Hisense 32" TV
Smart View will not mirror my Android phone on my Hisense 32" TV. The choice is there but when I choose the TV to says ot's connecting but never does. Eventually it says to turn the TV off and back on and that doesn't fix the issue either.Solved2.9KViews0likes3CommentsWhy is Roku player throwing error "reader pick stream error:bad:invalid or corrupt playlist"using
We are using the Akamai CDN HLS stream for one of our OTT apps. This app has two types (Live & VOD) stream URLs. When playing the VOD content the Roku player plays the stream smoothly but when we play Live Stream content, the Roku player throws the error "**reader pick stream error:bad:invalid or corrupt playlist**" When playing this stream on other players like Apple TV, VLC, Exo Player, Android TV and Web Players (JWplayer, HTML5) then steaming is working as expected. Already, I have checked these points. 1. Checked Api calling and endpoints 2. Url formation for player 3. Managed Cookies 4. Checke HTTPtp protocol like 1.0/1.1/2.0 5. Checked Bitrates 25000 above 6. Matched video codec 7. There is although difference in resolution, but the same resolution is working fine in VOD. I am digging last 4 weeks but unfortunately I have not got any solution yet. Any help is highly appreciated1.8KViews0likes1Comment
