Too many problems
Hello, I am a college student and was gifted a Roku TV when I first began going to school. I can't make this more clear for those looking to invest in one of these TVs - Buy LITERALLY any other TV on the market. This was the worst gift ever given to me because it causes me nothing but frustration on a daily basis. Let's now go over why. Firstly, it is the slowest TV I have ever seen in my life. It takes decades to load a click of a button or even turn up the sound. Second, it crashes more frequently than anything ever should. Thirdly, the Apple Airplay just straight up does not work when you put anything at all into full screen or just randomly turns off after 5 minutes or less. Another issue is every single channel/app has a different sweet spot for volume - disney I need 5 volume to hear and HBO I need 70 minimum. When you forget to change this, say goodbye to your eardrums. So many other problems I cannot even think of in the heat of my rage as well. You may be thinking: that is just that one TV. Nope. My parents have two TVs as well (I don't even know what made them get a second one). They both have the same exact problems! Not even the same models either if that is what your wondering. All of the products are just garbage! If I can just save one person from buying a Roku TV, my mission is done. Just one person will fill me with joy. I cannot express how deeply this TV angers me and I look forward to posting this everywhere I can under product reviews. I am a real victim, and Roku has driven a man who has never left a product review under anything in his entire life to strive for nothing but their downfall. To that one person thinking about buying this TV, there are other similarly priced items - please don't waste your time. Best,13Views0likes1CommentRoku TV Not Supported by New Tech Models
We are not seeing the Roku TV platform on new large screen Q-LED and Mini-LED models? When you shop for high quality 75" and higher models with Q-LED and Mini-LED then Roku models disappear. All the high quality TVs are mostly Google TV and some Fire TV, but NO ROKU TV! Manufacturers have stopped making high tech large Roku TVs not TCL, Hisense, Onn, Phillips, or Sharp (only Roku itself). Seems obvious television makers are getting manipulated and forced into supporting Google TV or Fire TV due to the global monopoly power of Alphabet and Amazon with their corporate marketing. Roku TV is by far the fastest and easiest OS platform, but seems to be moving into the obsolete stage with large screens made with UHD tech. Roku needs to step up relations with manufacturers to make Q-LED and Mini-LED large 75"+ screen models. If not, then Roku will get trampled and crushed by Google and Amazon herds... Roku TV will get dumped into the obsolete UHD dumpster!38Views0likes0CommentsRoku TV Plus series powering off unprompted.
This happens whenever our Roku tv is being "woken up" from being in sleep mode. I'll click a random button on remote to wake it and it does open to the home page. The next button press of any kind causes the tv to immediately power off. It then can turn back on and works fine. Why is it doing this?Solved52Views1like3CommentsBlack screen on Element 75" Roku tv
That’s frustrating. A black screen on these TVs is often a backlight failure or main board issue. Try the flashlight test (shine a light on the screen to see if the menu is faint), and do a full power reset by unplugging for 10 minutes and holding the TV’s power button. If sound still plays, it’s usually the backlight. Sadly, repairs often cost close to a replacement.121Views1like6CommentsAll Roku tvs disconnecting from wifi within min of connecting.
Hi! I searched earlier questions posted about Roku TVs disconnecting from WiFi and followed every single suggestion all the way down to having T-Mobile send me a new router. I have 4 Roku devices and 1 fire tv(the oldest tv in the house) Only the Roku TVs are disconnecting from the wifi. Then when trying to reconnect it takes an hour up to a day of the TVs being unplugged for it to reconnect to only disconnect minutes later. I’m on 2.5g with DFS disabled, factory reset multiple times, and I’m at my wits end. I’m ready to throw these TVs out and never buy Roku again. Please help this frustrated not tv watching women out. My television shut off last night while I was watching it. It is not the power. The LED light is on and I tried different outlets. It is not overheating. I thought it might be at first, but I left it overnight and it is much cooler today. There are two steady red LED lights. All cables are secure and in good condition. I removed and replaced them all. It is not my internet connection. All other devices are fine. I also tried the rest button but it did nothing.Solved75Views1like1CommentDoes Roku TV work with OLED TVs
Anyone know if Roku is planning to offer OLED TV's at some point. I purchased a 75" Plus series about a day after Roku began offering their own TV's. Before I consider upgrading to the new Pro series, I'm interested in knowing if OLED might be offered in the future.Solved56Views1like2CommentsError 009
