Roku TV won't connect to a mobile hotspot.
I used to have my Roku TV connected to my mobile hotspot for months and it worked great. But for some reason now it won't connect. I've even made sure my mobile data was set on 2.4 and not the 5.0. I've restarted both my Roku TV and my mobile device and it still won't connect. I had no problems before. Why won't it work now?Solved1.7KViews0likes7CommentsRoku app not working
As of June 6th, I opened up my Roku app, it made me agree to new terms of service. After that it refuses to function other than loading up the home screen on the app. It does not work as a remote it doesn't work in any other way shape or form. Seems this is a Roku problem i see it on other TV's. my sound just stop going up from 0 to 50 it gets louder but from 50 to 100 no change the last updated before this was 8/3/25. I had left the room with the TV on home screen on for about 45 minutes. Went into YouTube and tried to start a video. The screen went black, but there was still audio. I hit the home button and nothing changed. I have done a power cycle a few times and the reset button. Occasionally something shows up on the screen for a split second and disappears. I got this television yesterday and OMG what a horrible tv this is. Picture quality is terrible, colors are very washout and motion smoothness is terrible is like using a 20 years old display. When trying to watch my local channels using a tv antenna or use a TV the picture quality was like watching two picture in one looking like a ghostly video. We spent about two hours trying to calibrate the picture quality but it was impossible, everything was looking ugly. Sometimes when playing a video the audio comes first and than the video which is not normal. Audio. The audio sometimes goes down and than very loud up. We also tried the setting for the audio but didn't worked well. Also, it is impossible to disabled HDR, there is an option to change the HDR setting but not to disabled it and I think that the problem with the TV picture quality is because of the HDR. I've contacted Best Buy to come pick it up for a return. I don't know if this is a problem with the television or if the NEW Roku TV 65R5C5CA is just like that. That’s frustrating. A black screen on these TVs is often a backlight failure or main board issue. Try the flashlight test (shine a light on the screen to see if the menu is faint), and do a full power reset by unplugging for 10 minutes and holding the TV’s power button. If sound still plays, it’s usually the backlight. Sadly, repairs often cost close to a replacement.100Views1like6Comments
