Roku TV Power Issue: Remote Works Intermittently

I often am unable to turn my Roku tv on with the provided remote. It turns the tv off instantly, but sometimes requires using the phone app to turn it on. Occasionally, the remote does work to turn the tv on. Replaced batteries, rebooted tv, still no improvement. TV is less than a year old.

    We understand you're having an issue with your Roku TV remote not being able to turn on your TV. You can try to follow these steps to fix your remote.

    1. Restart your remote (Remove both batteries, press any two buttons, reinsert the batteries (negative end first), and replace the cover.)
    2. Restart your Roku TV (Unplug from power, wait 5 seconds, plug back in) 
    3. Re-pair the remote (Restart your TV. If your remote has a pairing button, hold it for 5 seconds until the light flashes. If it doesn't, press and hold the Back and Home buttons together.)
