Screen Mirroring stopped working
Roku, Is there any updates to fixing the screen mirroring problem that many users face? I have done a lot of searching in hopeless attempts to find a solution to why our Hisense Roku TV will not screen mirror anymore. My wife and I both have Samsung S20 phones that we stream the iFit treadmill app to our Hisense TV in our little workout room. It has worked with no issues until just a little while ago. Now after reading all the troubleshooting tips, restarting the TV, resetting the TV, nothing works. Every so often it will show up under the Smart View but once you click on the TV, it will sit there trying to connect, time out and then gives the tip of holding the remote power button to restart the tv or unplug it and plug it back in. This does not work. Going through all the tips of the stuff listed below does not work either. *********Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community for help today! I only have 5.0GHZ wifi( not sure if it requires 2.4GHZ or not). Device connect is enabled. Control by Mobile Apps is set to default. Screen Mirroring mode is Prompt ( also does not work if set to always allow). Screen mirroring devices is now empty since I reset the TV using Factory Reset. Also, I have tried using my laptop with Windows 11 just to see if that would find the TV and it will not. So what is the solution? If we can develop AI and electric cars and whatever other highly technical technology, why is it so hard to develop a patch or a new update to fix a simple thing as Screen Mirroring? Please let me know what else I can do and please do not send me a link of How to connect your Android device to a Roku TV or Streaming Stick. I have already done much searching before even writing this post therefore I have tried all of these things. I and a whole lot of other users would like a good solution which will most likely come from some folks fixing the programming and sending out an update. Roku TV Screen Mirroring not Working
I've tried to post this reply on many of your guys posts but that seems like it'll be endless because Roku has known about this bug for years and refuses to fix it. So I'll post it here and hopefully anybody who searches screen mirror this will pop up. Shame on roku. Don't even bother asking here. They will never tell you the truth which is that.. Screen mirroring no longer works with ANY roku TV. The ONLY way to do it is to go into advanced settings and literally RESET THE NETWORK. And it'll turn your tv off and on. Do NOT put your wifi back on when the tv comes back on. The only way to screen mirror now is to do it without the wifi. And i don't mean just disconnect the tv from wifi. That won't work either. It only works when you reset the network and stay offline. Idk what kind of bug this is or why they haven't fixed it. We got a samsung tv and surprise surprise, my phone screen shares just fine! And it's not just my android phone. It was an iphone. A motorola razr phone. A brand new samsung tablet. Laptops etc. And it's not my certain TV either. Cause we have two completely different brands of TV's. They just both happen to be Roku. I recently bought the Roku onn 50 inch tv only 4 months ago. I’ve been having problems connecting to my airplay since getting it. All the devices have been updated and connected to the same network. I am trying to connect a macbook on MacOS 13.4.1 to a westinghouse roku tv or a samsung tv with roku stick. Both devices show up when I try to connect to screen mirror but neither of them will connect and it just sits there loading then fails. iPhone screen mirroring no sound except YouTube
Bought a basic Roku stick months ago. The screen mirroring was fantastic. I have a basic iPhone. All of a sudden, when I play videos, I have recorded. there is no sound. There is no sound. When I play videos on Facebook now there is no sound. Somehow, when I screen mirror YouTube from my phone there is sound. I see to go into audio settings and change it to stereo. Screen mirroring from Android phone not working
I have read through the previous posts, but don't see any answer to the specific question. Hisense RokuTV 32A4NR, Motorola MOTO G Stylus with Android version 11. I am NOT trying to cast a specific APP but just use the native Screen Cast function of my Android phone to the Hisense Roku tv. YES, I am on the SAME wireless network, YES, both phone and tv are at the latest software, YES, I HAVE restarted both phone and tv. On the Roku tv I have: Settings-System-Screen Mirroring-Screen Mirroring Mode-Always Allow checked on. And Settings-System-Advanced System Settings-Device Connect-Enable 'Device Connect' checked on. When I try Screen Cast on my phone the Roku tv does not even show up in the available devices. I tried this on another Hisense tv, not Roku though, and it works flawlessly, being able to Screen Cast my main screen natively and then use any App on my phone.Solved15KViews1like4Comments
Airplay disconecting after a minute or two
For the last few weeks, every day, I have had an issue with AirPlay disconnecting within a couple of minutes. It does not matter if it is audio only, like podcasts or screen mirroring. The only solution I have found is to go into my Roku TV settings -> power -> restart. Then AirPlay will work fine for the day. Hello people I've had a Roku Premiere for several years, which I use little, although I do occasionally use it to throw some pictures or Powerpoints onto the TVs (it's plugged into a 2-zone AV amp) from my phone or laptop. I haven't done so for a while - and I now find it's not working. On my Android phone, the device often fails to show up in the list of available devices; when it does, much more often than not the connection fails (but not always - on the few occasions it's worked, it's entirely performant, once connected). On my Windows 11 PC, the list of available devices has only contained the Roku once - and it refused to connect. All the devices in the equation are on the same 192.168.0.xxx network. In fact, they're all connected to the same WAP, which hangs off the router. I have disabled all the firewalls that might block Miracast: no joy. I have power-cycled my router and WAP, several times; no joy. I have reset the network connection on the Roku: no joy I have factory reset the Roku: no joy It is more than irritating that it does, very occasionally, work from my phone. I have not got it to work from my Windows 11 laptop since I discovered it had these recent issues. same here, done everything on the article, still no working. on the Apple and homekit setting there is no further option of "homekit" or "on/off". When click on it, Airplay message appears but then nothing happen, no QR code, nothing. All this went wrong since some software update. Used to work good. Smart View won't connect to my Hisense 32" TV
Smart View will not mirror my Android phone on my Hisense 32" TV. The choice is there but when I choose the TV to says ot's connecting but never does. Eventually it says to turn the TV off and back on and that doesn't fix the issue either.Solved2.9KViews0likes3Comments
