Roku TV Screen Mirroring not Working
I've tried to post this reply on many of your guys posts but that seems like it'll be endless because Roku has known about this bug for years and refuses to fix it. So I'll post it here and hopefully anybody who searches screen mirror this will pop up. Shame on roku. Don't even bother asking here. They will never tell you the truth which is that.. Screen mirroring no longer works with ANY roku TV. The ONLY way to do it is to go into advanced settings and literally RESET THE NETWORK. And it'll turn your tv off and on. Do NOT put your wifi back on when the tv comes back on. The only way to screen mirror now is to do it without the wifi. And i don't mean just disconnect the tv from wifi. That won't work either. It only works when you reset the network and stay offline. Idk what kind of bug this is or why they haven't fixed it. We got a samsung tv and surprise surprise, my phone screen shares just fine! And it's not just my android phone. It was an iphone. A motorola razr phone. A brand new samsung tablet. Laptops etc. And it's not my certain TV either. Cause we have two completely different brands of TV's. They just both happen to be Roku. Roku is more than aware of this They just don't care.Solved51KViews11likes34CommentsScreen Mirroring stopped working
Roku, Is there any updates to fixing the screen mirroring problem that many users face? I have done a lot of searching in hopeless attempts to find a solution to why our Hisense Roku TV will not screen mirror anymore. My wife and I both have Samsung S20 phones that we stream the iFit treadmill app to our Hisense TV in our little workout room. It has worked with no issues until just a little while ago. Now after reading all the troubleshooting tips, restarting the TV, resetting the TV, nothing works. Every so often it will show up under the Smart View but once you click on the TV, it will sit there trying to connect, time out and then gives the tip of holding the remote power button to restart the tv or unplug it and plug it back in. This does not work. Going through all the tips of the stuff listed below does not work either. *********Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community for help today! We appreciate you informing us about this concern you've encountered with screen mirroring not connecting, We would be more than glad to assist, and you can follow these steps provided below to resolve the issue. Kindly verify screen mirroring of Roku is configured or working properly: Settings/System/Screen mirroring/Screen mirroring mode=Prompt Settings/System/Screen mirroring/Screen mirroring devices/Always blocked=none Settings/System/Advanced system settings/Device connect=Enabled Settings/System/Advanced system settings/Control by mobile devices=Default Always select "Always allow" when prompted by the Roku Test with (another) Android/Windows Miracast-capable device One additional step you can do after performing all these steps is to restart your Roku device by navigating to Settings > System > System Restart. Please keep us posted on how it works. All the best, Kash **************************************** So what is the solution? The software version is 12.0.0, Build is 4193-90. I only have 5.0GHZ wifi( not sure if it requires 2.4GHZ or not). Device connect is enabled. Control by Mobile Apps is set to default. Screen Mirroring mode is Prompt ( also does not work if set to always allow). Screen mirroring devices is now empty since I reset the TV using Factory Reset. Also, I have tried using my laptop with Windows 11 just to see if that would find the TV and it will not. So what is the solution? If we can develop AI and electric cars and whatever other highly technical technology, why is it so hard to develop a patch or a new update to fix a simple thing as Screen Mirroring? Please let me know what else I can do and please do not send me a link of How to connect your Android device to a Roku TV or Streaming Stick. I have already done much searching before even writing this post therefore I have tried all of these things. I and a whole lot of other users would like a good solution which will most likely come from some folks fixing the programming and sending out an update. Thank you for your time.Solved57KViews7likes74CommentsAirplay disconecting after a minute or two
For the last few weeks, every day, I have had an issue with AirPlay disconnecting within a couple of minutes. It does not matter if it is audio only, like podcasts or screen mirroring. The only solution I have found is to go into my Roku TV settings -> power -> restart. Then AirPlay will work fine for the day. This seems to have started after the last Roku OS update.14KViews7likes55CommentsScreen Mirroring not working
Screen mirror only works once on a device and then never works again on some devices. This is seen on a number of Roku players. Roku Streaming Stick 4K Model 3820EU2 Software 14.5.4 Build 5949 (Latest Available) And Roku Express Roku 3930EU Software 14.5.4 Build 5944 The following Devices are not working:- Doogee S88 Plus Android 10 (This has worked in the past) Doogee S41T Android 14 Ulephone Amour Pad Pro 4 Ultra Android 14 These Devices do work all the time:- Samsung S7 Android 8 Doogee S40 Android 9 Windows 11 Samsung A40 Android 11 But all of these devices can screen mirror to the following non Roku Devices:- LG TV 43UN70006LA WebOS 5.6.0-1002 LG TV 55SJ850V-ZA WebOS 3.9.3-6270915 I notice from the Android Logcat that when it fails I get the following in the log p2p-p2p0-1: WPA: 4-Way Handshake failed - pre-shared key may be incorrect It's seems the Roku is not setting up the wifi connection correctly. I've tried various solutions in other posts like:- Network Connection Reset. But that does not work.154Views2likes3CommentsAirplay connecting but not playing
I recently bought the Roku onn 50 inch tv only 4 months ago. I’ve been having problems connecting to my airplay since getting it. All the devices have been updated and connected to the same network. Whenever we try and airplay the tv will go to the airplay screen and say device connected, but the video won’t play. How do I fix this? I’ve tried unplugging it and restarting it. #airplaySolved28KViews2likes13CommentsiPhone screen mirroring no sound except YouTube
Bought a basic Roku stick months ago. The screen mirroring was fantastic. I have a basic iPhone. All of a sudden, when I play videos, I have recorded. there is no sound. There is no sound. When I play videos on Facebook now there is no sound. Somehow, when I screen mirror YouTube from my phone there is sound. I see to go into audio settings and change it to stereo. Did that —not fixed there’s no audio is all over Google and this page so please Roku tell us what the friggin fix is. This is infuriating.19KViews1like23CommentsAirPlay disconnect issues
What’s completely insane to me is that this issue was reported almost a year ago. I’ve seen other posts for 2 years+ reporting the same issue. I am faced with this same issue of connecting to AirPlay and it disconnecting. Thus, leading me to restart my Roku device which can be a pain when I have guests over or am trying to enjoy a night in. This is not okay. People (essentially) pay for the convince of AirPlay which you all offer on your Roku devices. For this issue to still be occurring is completely unacceptable. I am having the same issue with my Roku that’s updated. Along with my iPhone 14 that’s updated to the latest iOS as well. I have to restart my Roku each time and it’s honestly making me want to never purchase a Roku device in the future. With the development of technology, these issue should not still be prominent. How has it been years of the same continuous issue but not actual resolution within Rokus software? This is completely unacceptable and a fix is needed asap.43Views1like1CommentAirPlay not working in Roku TV
I have had my Roku TV for a while and have been air playing on my TV almost daily. All of a sudden the airplay stopped working and the Roku app on my phone will also no connect with my TV. This happened in the middle of watching a show. I have tested the connection, made sure I had the lost up to date software. I have been on so many Reddit threads and done what people have said. I have also tested the connection and don’t know what to do.463Views1like18CommentsAirplay doesn’t won't connect to Roku device
