AirPlay not working in Roku TV
I have had my Roku TV for a while and have been air playing on my TV almost daily. All of a sudden the airplay stopped working and the Roku app on my phone will also no connect with my TV. This happened in the middle of watching a show. I have tested the connection, made sure I had the lost up to date software. I have been on so many Reddit threads and done what people have said. I have also tested the connection and don’t know what to do.460Views1like18CommentsAirPlay Feature suddenly stops working

I have an android s24, I used to be able to select smart view from the settings on the phone then select my roku device and thus mirror my phone to the TV. Well that's not the case anymore. Roku is asking for Roku cast and is then requiring an internet connection. Yes, I could use my phone as a hot spot, but just last week I didn't need to do that. Is there a work around? I'd like to keep using my unlimited data on the phone as I use the Hotspot data for work. If I turn on the Hotspot to turn on rokucast, then the smart view/mirror option says to turn off the mobile Hotspot.56Views0likes1CommentAlexa app won't enable Roku skill
Hey there! pmb11976 It sounds like your Roku Alexa app isn’t enabling the Roku skill. Here are a few steps you can try: Restart the Alexa app and try again—sometimes a fresh start fixes glitches. Make sure the Alexa app is updated to the latest version. Try enabling the skill on a different device, like another phone or tablet. Restart your Roku device by going to Home > Settings > System > System Restart. You can also visit here for more info. Let us know what you find out! I recently bought the Roku onn 50 inch tv only 4 months ago. I’ve been having problems connecting to my airplay since getting it. All the devices have been updated and connected to the same network. Whenever we try and airplay the tv will go to the airplay screen and say device connected, but the video won’t play. How do I fix this? I’ve tried unplugging it and restarting it. #airplaySolved28KViews2likes13CommentsAirPlay disconnect issues
What’s completely insane to me is that this issue was reported almost a year ago. I’ve seen other posts for 2 years+ reporting the same issue. I am faced with this same issue of connecting to AirPlay and it disconnecting. Thus, leading me to restart my Roku device which can be a pain when I have guests over or am trying to enjoy a night in. This is not okay. People (essentially) pay for the convince of AirPlay which you all offer on your Roku devices. For this issue to still be occurring is completely unacceptable. I am having the same issue with my Roku that’s updated. Along with my iPhone 14 that’s updated to the latest iOS as well. I have to restart my Roku each time and it’s honestly making me want to never purchase a Roku device in the future. With the development of technology, these issue should not still be prominent. How has it been years of the same continuous issue but not actual resolution within Rokus software? This is completely unacceptable and a fix is needed asap.43Views1like1CommentAirplay disconecting after a minute or two
For the last few weeks, every day, I have had an issue with AirPlay disconnecting within a couple of minutes. It does not matter if it is audio only, like podcasts or screen mirroring. The only solution I have found is to go into my Roku TV settings -> power -> restart. Then AirPlay will work fine for the day. This seems to have started after the last Roku OS update.14KViews7likes55CommentsAirplay doesn’t won't connect to Roku device

This year, and it maybe a Samsung update that did this, but I no longer can get Smart View to screen mirror unless I go onto Hisense Roku TV and in "Advanced System Settings" I click on "Network connection reset" and then it works every time, and then my Samsung S23 is connecting fine mirroring my phone to the Roku TV. Problem arises with this type of fix is the TV no longer has internet. I have to reset the network connection with my Roku login and password every time I use Smart View. I've done all other recommended solutions: clear caches, reboot Verizon wireless router, reboot my Samsung S23, reboot Hisense Roku TV. Made sure on Roku TV that "screen mirroring" is "prompt" and now it's on "always allow" either way works fine. Screen mirroring devices don't have anything blocked and my phone is shown on "always allowed devices". I've done software updates on everything. On my Roku the "Device connect" says "enable device connect". On Roku the "Control by mobile apps" is enabled. Anyone have an answer to use my Smart View again, without having to always reset network connection on my Roku TV?777Views1like4CommentsRoku TV Screen Mirroring not Working
I've tried to post this reply on many of your guys posts but that seems like it'll be endless because Roku has known about this bug for years and refuses to fix it. So I'll post it here and hopefully anybody who searches screen mirror this will pop up. Shame on roku. Don't even bother asking here. They will never tell you the truth which is that.. Screen mirroring no longer works with ANY roku TV. The ONLY way to do it is to go into advanced settings and literally RESET THE NETWORK. And it'll turn your tv off and on. Do NOT put your wifi back on when the tv comes back on. The only way to screen mirror now is to do it without the wifi. And i don't mean just disconnect the tv from wifi. That won't work either. It only works when you reset the network and stay offline. Idk what kind of bug this is or why they haven't fixed it. We got a samsung tv and surprise surprise, my phone screen shares just fine! And it's not just my android phone. It was an iphone. A motorola razr phone. A brand new samsung tablet. Laptops etc. And it's not my certain TV either. Cause we have two completely different brands of TV's. They just both happen to be Roku. Roku is more than aware of this They just don't care.Solved51KViews11likes34Comments
