Apps crashing when trying to play video
This is a bug I experienced on disney plus and apple TV using the 4k roku stick Steps to repro: - Turn on roku - Load Disney Plus with Ads - Play Andor - Roku will crash during the ads I solved this problem by turning the streaming quality to low. I think the Roku stick should handle this more gracefully than just crashing, for example warning users that they do not have enough bandwidth for high quality streaming.179Views0likes0CommentsPrime Video X-RAY FEATURE not working

Out of nowhere in the middle of watching a Hulu show, the color in the tv became almost inverted like and red. Annoying and abnormal to say the least. I have a 75” tcl Roku tv about 3 months old and no prior issues. Help please, I tried some online recommendations and it didn’t help at all. Very very frustrating and unhappy customer here.1.1KViews0likes3CommentsScreensaver Crashes the Roku Ultra 2024
Same exact thing with the new 2024 4850X. I have the 4800X that I was upgrading from and that unit is just fine, no issues. The new model has the same exact issues. Screen saver crashes the system entirely, sometimes the whole thing becomes unresponsive randomly in an app and reboots and other times just hitting home from anywhere will cause it to freeze crash and reboot too. There’s a new processor in these models and my bet is there’s some memory handling issue or something they need to patch. Very annoying and not a good experience at all. This new one is terrible, I’d never look back at Roku if I was a new customer and I thought this was normal.2.2KViews1like32CommentsTCL Roku TV bottom of screen fading to black while watching movies
Bottom of screen is fading to black when watching TV shows on Netflix prime peacock etc. It happens every 10 seconds while watching almost like the bottom play/pause bar keeps almost coming on and then going away. I have tried to restart, unplugging, and everything besides doing a complete factory reset which I’m trying to avoid otherwise I will loose log in access to some apps. Hi, I have the new Roku Ultra and just replaced my old Roku Ultra 4660X by simply unplugging the HDMI cable from the old one and plugging it into my new one. However, Dolby Vision content on any channel or if it's turned on for the Roku home screen, shows white static artifacts that randomly pop up and disappear on the screen. My setup is a LG OLED CX 77 inch TV which is connected to a Yamaha Aventage 2070 AVR (Dolby Vision 4K capable). My Roku Ultra is connected to the AVR as well as my 4K Blu-ray player. Dolby Vision content plays perfectly fine from the 4K Bluray player to the TV so I don't see any issues with the cable to the TV or the AVR. My old Roku Ultra played 4K HDR content just fine as well on this setup. My new Roku Ultra will also play 4K HDR content just fine if I manually change the display type from the 4K Dolby Vision option to 4K HDR instead. I've tried changing the Auto-adjust display refresh rate and HDR Subsampling settings to see if that would change anything. Sometimes it seems a little better or worse depending. When it's worse, half the screen will display static that flickers on and off randomly. It feels like an HDMI cable issue, but all of my cables are Ultra High Speed and as mentioned earlier, play regular 4K HDR content from the Ultra and Dolby Vision content from the blu-ray player without issues. Thought I would share if anyone has any ideas. I might swap the HDMI cable going to the Ultra just for good measure, hopefully it's not a bug in the new Ultra OS.Solved1.8KViews0likes5Comments
