I was watching my roku express and all the sudden the tv is stating I am not connected to the internet. I have been signed in to the wifi connections for years. Now the roku device is not even able to locate my wifeless network. I unplugged the device, restarted the roku, restarted the network, tried adding a private connection and nothing happens. All my other devices are still connected with no issue so I know it is not my router. Please help???

What model do you have? (Four digit model number.) Many Roku models labeled only “Roku Express” are 2.4GHz-only, but some routers have received automatic updates that turned off 2.4GHz by default, requiring the user to log into the router and turn it back on. This seems to happen especially often with routers rented from ISPs.
I amnot sure which model number I have. I know it is at least 4years old, possible more. I own my router/modem. It is through Netgear.
It's still worth checking that the 2.4GHz is enabled, since your older Express (assuming the name is just Express and not Express 4K or Express 4K+) may well be 2.4GHz-only. Also make sure all modes (b/g/n) are available. Some Rokus seem to have issues with some routers if they are set to g/n-only.
How do I do that?
