My Roku was working fine last night then wont connect to WiFi but will connect to my hotspot but I don't want to use my hotspot data up . What can I do we have xfinity WiFi service.
@SGSMar, the model number of your Roku device and any error messages/codes would be helpful, but if you're trying to connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi ensure your router's wireless mode is set to b/g/n and not g/n. Some ISPs like to muck with the settings of their customers equipment.
I have Cox as well. I’ve done all the things you’ve stated and it still won’t stay connected to the internet either. It says my WiFi connection is excellent. But it either won’t connect to the internet or stays connect for a second, then immediately drops connection. All my other devices are connected and working just fine.
I spoke to a Xfinity representative and she had me split my WiFi networks so that the 2.4 and 5.0 have different names. However, when I try to connect the 2.4 network is never visible and therefore I cannot connect to it.
Model # 3930X
@SGSMar, do any networks show up when you scan?

Hi @SGSMar
Thanks for the post.
Please be advised that Roku Express (3930X) is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to.
If you need help configuring your router, we suggest contacting your ISP.
Keep us updated!
All the best,
