I have a Roku Premiere serial number: YH00GL798716 since Jan 8, 2022. I has been working fine for all those years but all of a sudden I have no connection. I did all the restarts on the WiFi and Roku but I cannot connect. I have an Amazon fire stick on another tv and it is streaming fine. I have WiFi on my computer and all network tv is working. Do I just need a new Roku stick or how do I fix this???Thanks...Mo
Do you have the model number? Many Rokus labeled "Premier" are 2.4GHz only. Some Routers (especially ones rented from ISPs) have received updates that turned 2.4GHz off entirely or disabled b-mode. So I would start by checking the router to make sure it is operating on 2.4GHz and allows all modes b/g/n. My parents' Comcast router got one of those "helpful" updates but it as happened with others as well.
Hmmm that sounds frustrating sorry to hear you're having connection issues. A few thoughts not sure any of these will help.
Have you changed any of your net settings or devices lately? I'm curious if it could be related to a possible weak single where you have your Roku placed.
There could be network interference and then lastly and hopefully no it could be related to the device itself.
Maybe start by restarting your Roku and router, then check network settings on the Roku, you should be able to see and be able to verify the signal strength. Sometimes a simple restart of your router can fix connectivity problems.
You could also try changing your connection to another wifi channel to see if that solves the issue.
