Internet access fails using wireless router
I recently switched wireless routers but the first time that the TV was turned on after the swap, a msg appeared requesting router's login password. What I believe is the correct NEW router password was entered but then an err msg (without any #) appeared that there was "no signal" avail to connect to the router. The router was disabled/enabled but the "no signal" err msg persists. My desktop PC successfully connects to the router using the wireless network adapter so it appears to work as advertised. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Re: Internet access fails using wireless router
Not sure why you would be getting a "No Signal" on a Roku TV. (usually reserved for the HDMI inputs and asks "are you sure 'x' is connected?" or similar language).
Since this is a new router, I would look under the Wireless settings in the router and make sure that mode "AC" is enabled if using a wifi6(ax) router. In kind, I would verify under the "Wireless Security" in your router (your wifi password settings) that WPA2 is enabled.
Remember, the password you want to enter on your Roku is your wifi password.
Initially, I would try performing a Network Connection Reset on the Roku TV and make sure to enter the correct password. (Settings/System/Advanced System Settings/Network Connection Reset/Reset Connection).

Re: Internet access fails using wireless router
Is this a Roku TV????
I didn't get that from the post. Anyway, like @AvsGunnar said, "No Signal" is a pretty generic TV message that you'll see whenever a TV is on the 'wrong" input or a device like a Blu Ray player is "off". It's normally not Wi-Fi-related or really a problem.
The story confuses me. Did you keep the same SSID but change the Wi-Fi password? If you had kept both the same, then it would usually just connect without noticing the change in router hardware. On the other hand if you just dropped a new router into place, and accepted their default SSID and password, then you would have to select the new SSID on the Roku first - it wouldn't skip straight to asking for a password.

Re: Internet access fails using wireless router
The ISP provided the new router with a wifi network name and password. I assume that the SSID remained the same. However the new router could be "pinged" at 192.168.1.1

Re: Internet access fails using wireless router
SSID and Wi-Fi network name are pretty much the same thing.
OK, so you apparently DID enter new network credentials, and then... then it should have connected or given you an error message. Are you sure you didn't bump the TV remote? because a real simple answer for "No signal" would be that the TV shifted to a different input.

Re: Internet access fails using wireless router
Hello: Thanx for the quick reply. However I'm using a Roku DEVICE not TV. Does that make any difference ?

Re: Internet access fails using wireless router
Sorry, assumed it was a Roku TV based on your other response history in the forum.
Since this is a Roku device, then the No Signal is making more sense. Try toggling through the TV Inputs using the TV remote (not the Roku remote) to find the correct HDMI input that your Roku device is connected to. (look for Input or Source, or similar language on your remote). Alternatively, you can just swap your HDMI cable into different HDMI ports on your TV until your Roku device shows up. (ie. Home Screen appears on your TV).
Still kind of confused what you are seeing. Can you see the Home Screen for Roku device on the TV? If not, follow the above instructions until you can see the Roku Home Screen.
Also, what is the model number of the Roku device and what is the model number of your new router. (look on the side or bottom for a sticker with the model number).
