I just upgraded to a Roku ultra 2024 from a streaming stick my streaming stick would auto close the YouTube TV app to where I got back into the app it restarts but for some reason on the ultra it doesn't am I missing a setting or something because I can't figure it out
Ok here is the scenario. I I have two Roku Ultras. The old 4800x and I have the new 4850x. I use the Youtube app on both.
On the 4800x (Roku 14.0.4 build 12221, Youtube v2.24 build 230) if I'm playing a Youtube video and while it is playing I press the home button, Youtube is closed and I'm taken to the Roku home screen. If I then navigate over to the Youtube app and press OK, Youtube opens like normal and I'm presented the app with it sitting at the home tab and showing the Recommended videos. This is what I prefer.
On the 4850x (Roku 14.0.4 build 12222, Youtube v2.24 build 229) if I'm playing a Youtube video and while it is playing I press the home button, Youtube is "closed" and I'm taken to the Roku home screen. So far the same but I put quotes around "closed" because the next part makes it seem like the app is just paused. If I then navigate over to the Youtube app and press OK, it doesn't show a Youtube logo like it is loading. Instead the screen goes black and then immediately starts playing the video that I was watching previously. This is not what I want to happen as I find it annoying. I might want to watch that video, but I might want to watch something else. In the Youtube app I have autoplay turned off, and previews turned off. In the Roku settings I have Auto-play Video turned off under accessibility.
I don't know of any other settings that would cause the app to act one way on one device and another way on another device...other than there being a difference in the build or a difference in the Roku OS build. If there is something I'm missing please educate me so I can go ahead and feel foolish for a few minutes but at least have the issue resolved. Thanks

My Ultra 2024 is doing the same. Customer support had me reset to factory. Reloaded Youtube TV, it's still not closing.

We recently replaced our Roku (due to sound issues) with a Roku Ultra 2024. Now when we launch the YouTube app/channel, it starts from wherever we left off, including jumping straight into playing a video if we hit the home button while playing a video. We have not been able to find a setting to change that. It is really annoying. Thank you for any suggestions. Roku Ultra (4800 series)
