Re: YouTube videos keep starting with black screen
I have a Tv with Roku and I am having the same issue and only on YouTube for me. I have done the steps you have suggested and this resolves the problem for a little while. I can cast the channel from my phone and it will work. Once the screen is black on the tv using my phone is the only way the app will work on the tv.

Re: YouTube videos keep starting with black screen
Good luck to you. I requested help fixing this issue back in February and the Roku guys just gave the same fix action that doesn't fix the problem. Now they just ignore us because they really don't know what to do about it. Your best bet is to ditch Roku and go with something else.

Re: [OS 12.0] YouTube going to black screen
This did not work for me. Mine only goes blank for a few seconds when a commercial pops up and then again when the commercial goes off. This just started happening recently (a week or two ago). Today is 11/11/24.

Re: YouTube videos keep starting with black screen
This "fix" only works temporarily. Then it starts up again with more frequency. This happened on my last TCL tv. Not long after the TV conked out altogether. Now it's happening to another TCL I own that is barely three years old. It was foolish of me to buy another TCL. I have an Insignia using Roku and it has never gone black
