I'm receiving the message:
"Playback Error: Unfortunately, we were unable to play this content. Please try again later." By "this content" read ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. It was working properly as recently as yesterday.

I don't use The Roku Channel on a Fire Stick, but when I see a problem like this three things come to mind:
To try to rule out the first one, restart/reboot everything involved - gateway/modem/router and Fire Stick. For the second, if you're using one of those disable it to see what happens. And for the third, there's not much you can do, but be aware that if you're using a VPN it could make it appear that you're not in a supported region. Roku doesn't like VPNs.
I am also receiving the same error. It works fine on my other devices but does not play on my tv that has a Fire stick. I tried reinstalling the app, rebooting my fire stick and nothing helps. No live channels or any content plays.
