My V435-H1 Vizio tv resets approximately 90% of the time when I’m using my ROKU stick for streaming. Does anyone have any advice on fixing this problem ? I depend on my ROKU for watching RUMBLE and LOCALS livestreams, along with my SPECTRUM cable service.
PLEASE HELP !!!!!

Hi @Tubbs05,
From the Roku Community, a warm welcome, and thanks for raising this concern directly with us!
We want to investigate this issue further since the Roku streaming stick was resetting on its own. How are you powering your Roku device? Is it directly plugged into the wall outlet or power strip?
We'll wait for your response.
Thanks,
John
Hey John !
You asked how I’m powering the ROKU Stick. I have it plugged into a MONSTER power/surge protector. There’s no immediate electrical outlet behind my tv, tv stand, home theater system. So I had to plug everything into one surge protector with a long power cord. I have noticed the ROKU stick does get quite warm and I have tried plugging it into an outlet by itself but the factory supplied power cord is very short. And just a couple of other details are that I have tried all 3 HDMI ports on my tv and still have the same issue. What confuses me the most is why does the Vizio tv reboot/restart but not the actual ROKU Stick ? Another detail is the tv doesn’t reboot when I’m just watching the tv. It only reboots when I’m using the ROKU. That’s what makes me think it’s a ROKU issue and not a tv issue.
If you have any other questions please feel free to ask and I will definitely do my best to explain them the best I can.
Thank you for the quick response already !! It’s much appreciated.

Hi @Tubbs05,
Thanks for keeping us posted!
We would be delighted to help you further with the problem you've been having with the Roku streaming stick, which keeps restarting itself. Please follow the steps below to check if the power saving is off.
If you have confirmed that your Roku device's power saving is off, you can try installing a free HDMI extender to help move it away from the back of your TV and try to plug the Roku device into the wall outlet directly.
We hope this helps.
Best regards,
John
Thank you for the suggestion. I will try that tonight and let you know whatever happens. Thanks !!
