Re: Unable to select channel on Home screen

@RC50, if your software version displayed under Settings->System->About is really 12.0 then the first thing you should do is to try a "Software update" from Settings->System.  I don't think there's any updatable model that shouldn't be on version 12.5 by now.

Thanks Jim. Though a complete novice at this stuff, I think it was probably the 12.5 but I couldn't recall and figured what mattered was that the Stick was updating. I've had it for a year or so at least and it has worked fine. I recall that the 'last update' was today...so that it is constantly updating and working fine. The Home cursor navigates fine until I settle on a specific app like "Spectum" and hit OK...and then nothing happens.

Thanks much friend. Be well.

@RC50, is there any chance the OK button on your remote is worn out?  Can you try putting the Roku app on your phone and using it as a remote?

I'm not sure if just made a bit differently (or because located in the kitchen), but I have had to take apart my Insignia RokuTV remote a few times and clean it out to get it working again. (Always the OK button that stops working or starts to require an extra hard pressing and wiggling when needs a cleaning).

None of my other Roku devices' remotes have ever needed cleaning or presented an issue for me.

It WAS the remote "OK" button, Jim. Thank you so much for your help. The wife was getting restless and I was on the verge of desperately purchasing another TV of the which I could ill afford.

Your time and energy in these small issues (re the big stuff) says a lot re your basic character. Praise well deserved.

Thanks again, and be well to you and yours.
