Tv playing sound no apps working

the other night i work to my child show “playing” but when i look. The tv was on the menu screen. And only the sound of show was playing. No matter what i do it wont stop. Apps will open but wont play anything. Just the sound of the kid show. 
Send help.

We appreciate you for letting us know about the issue you have encountered with your Roku TV, and we're here to help. We recommend performing a system restart as a troubleshooting step to resolve the issue.

System restart your device

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll and select Settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
  5. Select System restart.
You can also restart a Roku device by unplugging the power cord for at least 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
