Roku Ultra freezing and keeps going to home screen

Mine is doing the same thing and on all channels. Yes I have connectivity, no my other devices aren’t having any issues.  Is this something that I just have to deal with for choosing Roku over fire tv?

Restart your router

To correctly restart your router, you may need to follow the instructions provided by your internet service provider (ISP) or router manufacturer. Sometimes, you can unplug your router and plug it back in. In other cases, pressing a reset button on the device may be required. For assistance, you can visit the website of your ISP or router manufacturer or contact them directly.

Restart your Roku device.

To restart your Roku device, unplug the power cable, wait a moment, and reconnect it. Alternatively, you can use the following steps to restart it from the Settings menu.

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select System
  4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
  5. Select System restart
