PBS is now working on both of our Roku Ultras. PBS comes up and then blinks and comes up. I had to activate but now they are both working. Not sure which of the following updates fixed it. I do remember this happening a couple of years ago though.

Something tells me that it was on their end. App has not updated.
When i got up this morning and tried accessing pbs app, i actually got the activation screen with a code to acrivate - which i did thru my phone and the pbs screen with access opened up on my tv without having to reset my router- worth a try! Maybe they fixed it for everyone!
Rocky Mountain PBS and PBS12 both up and running just fine now Monday morning 11/18/24.
Same here. A reactivation screen appeared for the PBS app this morning. Once I completed those steps the app works again.
Mine is working now! When I tried launching the PBS app this morning it gave me a new code so now it's working again. That's a relief.
This app began working again around 2 AM Monday morning (11/18/24). Don't ask me why I was watching PBS at that hour. Thanks to whoever it was who solved this, be it PBS, Roku, or both.
Everyone having trouble with PBS app---LadyWithBooks solution worked mostly for me---thank you! Contact PBS tech support, and they answered within 15 minutes---brand new activation code came up to restart the app and this worked on all 4 of my Roku select TVs. BUT, on 2 of them, the PBS App will not load/appear on Roku home screen. It opens normally, but have to select it via voice command. I've written back to PBS tech support to let them know, but no answer. THis may be on Roku end? Not sure. But at least 50% solution found---thanks again to ladywithbooks.
Late Nov. 16 PBS stopped loading. Have tried all of the fixes; remove app, ck. software update (mine is the most current but it self-updated on the 16th, Nov.) restart Roku from systems menu, reinstall PBS app. This resulted in a slightly longer time from trying to open app but then failed by going back to the main Roku page. One of another threads on this site said that the Roku model 440 was the problem but I have a 3910. Now I see in this thread that the model isn't a problem. Maybe it's the auto-software update? update? Has anyone been able to contact Roku?
I reported the problem to the PBS Help Desk last night. Below is the explanation I received this morning (Pacific time). Hurray, it’s fixed! Thanks to everyone in the Roku community for commiserating along with me! 🙂

Starting Saturday evening, 11/16/24, the PBS app on Roku crashed on launch due to receiving an invalid "date" value from Roku's operating system .
Roku appears to have resolved this issue this morning. Our development team will be placing additional safeguards in the app to prevent this in the future.
