Hi Community Users,

Greetings from the Roku Community! Thank you for reporting this issue. We are here to help you. To start, please follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

  1. Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the star (*) key on your remote, and choose "Remove channel".
  2. Next, restart your device from Settings > System > Power > System Restart. (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
  3. Once your player/TV restarts, go to the "Streaming Store" on the Home screen and add the channel back again.

You can also refer to this link for more information: How to resolve a channel playback issue | Official Roku Support

If you continue to experience the issue after following these troubleshooting steps, we recommend reaching out to the channel provider's support team directly.

Note: The best solution can be provided by the channel providers themselves, as they are responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating many channels/apps on Roku.

Best regards,
Jharra

We've just run into this problem in the last couple of days.
Tethering to a mobile phone and Prime works fine.  Connected to my local LAN and we get as far as pressing play/resume and then just get the spinning wheel and error message.

What's interesting (and hopefully this can help the Roku/Amazon technical team) is what happens when I activate a VPN on my mobile phone.  The VPN uses Wireguard to route traffic back through my router at home so it looks like I'm sat at home, not outside.

Phone hotspot, VPN off - works fine
Phone hotspot, VPN on - does not stream
However, if I start streaming with the VPN off and then turn it on, the content continues to play

So it looks like the issue is down to that first step in getting the content to play.
