Get an android TV streaming stick. Plug it in HDMI port. Under fifty bucks. Add versatility, responsiveness and hi picture quality. Eliminate frustration.

Will it work on a Roku TV?

Re: Netflix Crashing on Roku and TV not responding 2024

It's working on mine. It's independent of the Roku operating system feeding the hdmi port. Look it up. Make sure to get Android or even Apple. Not Amazon or roku. Good luck

Waste of $$.

Re: Netflix Crashing on Roku and TV not responding 2024

Wow, I did not know that!  I'm using Xiaomi... Netflix, Prime, all apps all are fluid and responsive.  Why buy roku?  I didn't.  I bought an economy TCL that uses Roku as the os.  ONN was about $30, if I remember correctly.  It's worth going for the extra $20 to get the Xiaomi. Yes, you will need a re-boot once in a while, all Android devices do need need that but, I never had a total lockup.

Re: Netflix Crashing on Roku and TV not responding 2024

That is the problem with a lot of these budget level TV brands, such as Onn and TCL.  They tend to cut corners on the quality of their components and the components capabilities as well as updatability or lack thereof.  So, they tend to have issues with apps more often.
