To ALL with Roku Streaming Problems. I was asking that if Roku could not FIX the problem so I would be able to watch OTA ( Over the Air ) Channels, I wanted a full refund on the 4 Roku Express 4K+ that I have. I was told that they will not issue a refund, but will ship out new devices to replace the ones not working. When asked if they would have the same 14.0.4 update. I was told YES.
Until EVERYBODY starts requesting a FULL REFUND, because of Roku's Update problem that will not allow you to watch OTA Channels, They ( Roku ) will just keep playing it off.
Don't Message Chat with them, Call 816-272-8106.
Goodbye, Roku. It was fun while it lasted but I can't wait around forever. I'm leaving you for a Firetv stick.
Anyone have any updates on the no audio issue?
I’m about ready to dump my roku devices, 4 of them and go to another streaming device. If they do not have the talent working for them that can fix this them what will go wrong next.
I hate to say this because I have 5 rokus, but it may be a matter of priority.
If a paid service is not working on Roku.. like Peacock as an example.. and that was not working.. so they had to update the firmware.. and it broke Tablo.. :well ok, we'll eventually figure that out" I'm afraid that may be the situation. so backing out the to the previous version may not be an option and going forward isn't the high priority like other PAID through Roku services.
just thinking out loud.
I'm lucky 4 out of 5 of my devices are working now.. but may have to buy something for the one TV,
That's my take as well. Rolling back the 14.0 update has implications for *every* app that was modified to run on 14.0, paid or not.
I finally gave up and went to Walmart got Onn.
So far seems to be running just fine.
Goodbye Roku!
Tablo just said Roku will not restoring full AC3 Surround Sound passthrough functionality. Tablo thinks this is the cause of the no sound issue. So, they are going to "try" to create a fix for this. I've had enough! Went to buy Onn units from Walmart yesterday. Wound up going to 3 stores, and they were all sold out of the 3 models. The associate at the last store said they are constantly getting more in stock. I pointed to the piles of Roku's there, and told him of the sound issue they have created. He said, large numbers of them have been returned, but he didn't know the reason why. I would think mostly for other issues than this though.
