Roku plays all other Channels but loses audio shortly after starting a program like Fixer To Fabulous and many others.  How do I resolve?

Re: Channels loses audio shortly after starting show

Welcome @Kfred007,

Thanks for letting us know about the audio loss issue during streaming. No worries, we're here to assist you.

Just double-checking. Does this happen with all apps or only specific applications? Additionally, please tell us the Roku device model and if you have an audio device connected to your TV.

Let's see if this works for you.

  1. Check your Wi-Fi connection
  2. Reset your Wi-Fi or router
Unplug and replug it from the power source for 10 seconds.
  3. Restart the Roku device

Hope this helps. Please keep us posted.

Re: Channels loses audio shortly after starting show

None of your suggestions help.

roku works perfectly with all other channels.  only discovery + programs effected.  starts and plays 30 seconds of audio, and then audio stops.  video continues.

Re: Channels loses audio shortly after starting show

Hey, @Kfred007.

Thanks for sharing this here!

Did this happen after an update? If so, can you share the latest software version of the Roku device?

Try this fix below and see if that'll do the trick.

  1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  2. Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
  3. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.

Let us know what you find out!
