I have the Acorn channel loaded on my ROKU device. When selected, Acorn channel loads the various shows available. After I select one, the show begins to load, after about a minute, the Acorn channel disappears and the screen reverts to the main ROKU screen. Very frustrating. I have removed the channel, restarted roku and then added the Acorn channel back and it still doesn't work. I have done this several times! All the other channels work on Roku - it is only the Acorn channel that doesn't work.
Thanks for the update, @lsroop!
We appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue. Please attempt to restart the set by following this menu path: Settings > System > Power > System restart.
If you have a Roku TV with "Fast TV start" enabled, turning it off and back on only puts the set into and out of a standby state and does NOT result in a complete restart.
We would recommend trying to see if that resolves your issue. Please keep us posted.

If you are powering your Roku by plugging into the USB port on the TV, try powering from house power via the USB power adapter that came with the Roku*.
The ports on many televisions only supply 0.5 amp or less, which is not enough to power a Roku reliably. It may appear to start up okay, but when it runs into something that requires more power than the tv's USB port can provide, something's got to give. Frequently this results in shutting down the stream you are viewing and exiting back to the Roku home screen. Or it may cause your Roku to overheat.
If this is a new problem, possibly an update to either the Roku operating software or to some channel app software is using a little more power than in the past. If you were just barely scraping by before, this might push you over the edge.
*If your Roku didn't come with a USB adapter, or if you don't have a Roku adapter handy, any other USB power adapter you have from another device should work as long as the fine print on it says it outputs at least 1 amp.
Having same issue on all of my Roku Ultra devices. All are powered with supplied power supply and house power source .
I was having this issue on Acorn when trying to watch the "Miss Fisher Mysteries."
I emailed Acorn and got this reply:
This worked for the series, but requires resetting to "Auto" to watch anything else.
I did try this and it has helped somewhat - I went into Acorn, logged out and then removed app, restarted system, and reinstalled the app. I had done all this before, except actually logging out and it previous didn't work. However, when I logged out and then did everything - it seems to be working for the most part. Still kicks out sometime but nothing like it was before.
