I have the same setup with the 2 roku's. Same thing happens. Black screen after splash on the roku express 4k.

It must be a compatibility issue with that particular hardware/software combo on the Express. As it happens, today there was a system update pushed to my older Ultra that wasn’t working and it now works. My three Express 4Ks still do not work, however. I contacted AMC+ as suggested and they seemed baffled. Predictably, they speculated it must be a Roku problem…particularly if a system update fixed the Ultra and the Express 4Ks continue to go to black screen.

I forgot to mention that in my previous post. My Ultra updated to a later OS version than my Express. Express is still from January. Ultra updated today. My AMC+ app works on the Ultra and not the express. My Ultra is also an older model.

Wow, we really are having the exact same experience. And yep, my Express 4Ks last updated in January as well.

It is advised to contact AMC+ support and inquire further about the issue. They can provide you with a workaround or can create an update with their app to resolve the issue.
Take note that most apps on Roku are directly managed by their respective app providers.

@RokuTakashi will the update that was to my Ultra, April 2025, work with the Express 4k that has the January update? If so, I think the AMC+ app would start working with the Express like it does with my Ultra if it gets updated.

The channel developers themselves maintain channels on Roku. In this case, an issue within that specific channel likely needs to be addressed with an update from them.
