Is it worth the upgrade? Or should I just ride this model until it dies? I realize it's super old, but I haven't seen anything about an extreme performance boost from upgrading. I'm using Ethernet so the WiFi improvements don't really matter to me. I'm also using a Harmony remote so the remote improvements don't matter (at the moment).
With that said, does the new processor and extra RAM warrant the investment? I appreciate the input.
Hi @shawdon2,

We appreciate you directly raising this inquiry with us. If you're currently using a Roku Ultra 4640, you might consider upgrading to a newer model. Newer Roku Ultras offer significant improvements like faster processing speeds, Wi-Fi 6 support, a better remote with USB-C charging, and potentially better overall performance, especially if you are experiencing lagging or slow streaming on your current device.
Hope you'll find this info useful.
Best regards,
John
