Roku express not allowing me to connect to bluetooth devices
I've read every support article and it seems like I should be able to connect my roku express to a bluetooth device. When I go to settings however, for remotes and devices, it only shows that it is compatible with remotes? Do I need to turn on the pairing mode somewhere?

Re: Roku express not allowing me to connect to bluetooth devices
Hi @kancasu5,
Thanks for your first post in the Roku Community!
I noticed in your post that you are having trouble connecting your Roku Express to a Bluetooth device. I will be glad to provide you with further details about this issue.
For clarification, can you please let me know which Bluetooth device you are trying to connect to your Roku Express? You are unable to connect Bluetooth devices like wireless headphones directly to your Roku Express. However, you have the option to connect Bluetooth headphones to a compatible smartphone. To do this, you will need to download the Roku mobile app on your phone or tablet. Once you have the app, you can activate the Headphones mode to establish a connection.
For more details, you can visit our support article: How to turn on Bluetooth pairing and connect your phone to your Roku device | How to use headphones with the Roku mobile app for Headphone Mode
Please let me know if you find this information helpful.
Thanks,
Riamie

Re: Roku express not allowing me to connect to bluetooth devices
Hi @brenda21,
We are glad to have you here in the Roku Community!
We understand you're having trouble connecting your Roku streaming to Bluetooth, and we'd be more than happy to investigate further.
For us to help you better, we will ask a set of questions to isolate the issue:
- What Roku device are you using right now? (e.g., Roku Express, Roku Streambar, Roku TV—specify TV)
- Which Bluetooth device you are trying to connect to your Roku?
- Are you encountering any error codes or messages while trying to connect?
- Is this your first time connecting your Roku to Bluetooth, or has it worked fine before?
Additionally, have you tried checking the Support article provided above by @RokuRiamie-D?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Thanks,
Chel

Re: Roku express not allowing me to connect to bluetooth devices
I have a Roku express google seems to think they have Bluetooth but I’m starting to think they don’t. Ik trying to connect any Bluetooth device to my Roku as my monitor doesn’t have speakers but I would like to hear the Roku in a situation where I don’t have my phone. I’m trying to connect any speaker or AirPods to the Roku but when I go to the devices the only option is remote and I have never used Bluetooth before.

Re: Roku express not allowing me to connect to bluetooth devices
@Aydeniscool123, Google and its so-called AI is all too often wrong. No Express model ever had Bluetooth support. The models that do have it can be found here:
