Roku streaming stick not working
My Roku stick has been working for several months, since I upgraded. It was working this morning, but when I came home it would not load the Roku app. The Roku app on my phone would not recognize either of my Roku sticks. In problem solving attempt, the phone app even lost the listing of the one that was not working and will not reinstall it. I have done everything in problem solving - different USB, different power source, different cable tried old Roku stick. Nothing has worked. I even tested my blueray player in both USB slots to be sure the TV was still working correctly. Nothing. Finally, I went to the other TV. The TV turned on and the Roku app loaded (I had been using it within the our, so I expected it to work. I substituted in the Roku stick that had not been working. It did not work. Cycled power. Still did not work. Here's the weird part - replaced the Roku stick that had been working previously in that TV. It did not work. The TV does not recognize it. The phone app does not recognize it. Cycling power does not bring it back on. Now I have two dead Roku sticks that both worked earlier in the day today. Is this a virus or something? And the Roku help chat keeps dumping me out of the queue. I'm read to go try Amazon Fire

Re: Roku streaming stick not working
Hey, @DawnRae.
Thanks for reaching out here!
It sounds like you're having trouble with your Roku Streaming Stick, and we want to help you get this sorted out.
Could you clarify?
- Are you experiencing an issue with the Roku Channel not loading, the Roku Mobile App not recognizing the Roku Stick, or both?
- Have there been any recent updates before this happened?
- Are there any error messages you're seeing on the screen? A photo can be very helpful in taking a closer look.
In the meantime, try resetting your network connection and see if there are any differences.
Here's how:
- Press Home on your Roku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- Select Advanced system settings
- Select Network connection reset
- Select Reset connection
After the network reset is done, your Roku device will restart and you will need to return to the Settings menu and set up your wireless network again.
Let us know what you find out!
Best,
The Roku Community Team
