I currently have a Roku Ultra connected to my tv. My current soundbar which is not a Roku is not working properly. I am looking to purchase the Roku streambar SE. Can I set it up to be a stand alone speaker? Thank you.

Hi @wileecoyote128,
Thanks for the inquiry, and welcome to the Roku Community!
Please be aware that you may be able to utilize the Roku streambar as a standalone speaker even though you have a Roku Ultra. You may need to plug the Roku Ultra into a different HDMI port; just make sure the Roku streambar is plugged into the ARC HDMI port.
Hope you'll find this info useful. Let us know if you still have any questions.
Best regards,

Re: Roku Streambar SE as a stand alone speaker
@Kp84, if you only want to use it as a regular soundbar you don't need to connect the HDMI cable, but it's a bit of a waste to use both a Roku player and a Streambar on the same TV. You could move the Roku player to a different TV. Without connecting an HDMI cable you won't be able to adjust any of the Streambar's settings because you won't be able to see them. I don't know if the Streambar works right out of the box as a soundbar or if you first have to complete its setup which would require connecting it to a TV via HDMI. Once it's set up, you may be able to use the mobile app to adjust its settings. Sorry for the inadequate response. Hopefully someone can fill in the missing information.

Re: Roku Streambar SE as a stand alone speaker
Another thing to be aware of is that the Streambar SE comes with IR remote, this IR remote will also control a Roku ultra at the same time as it's controlling the SE. If you don't use the SE remote, and only use the ultra's wifi remote then there won't be any conflict.
