Roku setup

A while back my remote disappeared. Couldn’t find it for months. Used the iPhone app. Then I changed Wi-Fi. And then bought a new remote. Now I can’t get anything to talk to anything else just to do the basic set up. I did a reset on the Roku express 4K. And I was waiting for me to pair the remote. But I have no idea what button on this remote to push for pairing, because it doesn’t resemble the diagram on the screen. So right now it’s all useless. Any ideas?

Does the new remote have power and volume keys? This will tell us if its wifi voice remote or not. Wifi remote need to be paired using the pairing button inside the battery compartment. If the new remote has no tv controls its IR remote and doesn't need to be paired.

@dabell43  What kind of remote did you buy? Make? Model?  Did you buy the remote from Roku? Walmart? Amazon?
