I do home tech support, and I've installed dozens of Roku sticks over the years. Just this past week, I installed a new Roku, and 471 apps (channels) were downloaded. I didn't answer any questions regarding the cable provider or what programs I like to watch. I reset the stick to factory conditions, and it happened again. This is the first time this has happened. Help!!

Apps are tied to the Roku account, so if the user ever had a Roku account in the past any apps that were installed before will be installed again. Try creating a completely new Roku account to see what happens.
