I have the Roku ultra HD and the power button used to exsist and now it does not. The volume buttons on the side of the phone do not work as well. Is this because the TV is not a Roku TV? Because it used to work on my Samsung.

Have uninstalled the remote app on my phone and reinstalled it. Still no volume or power options.
Hi @mygoughnour,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We understand that your Roku mobile app remote does not have a Volume and power button. No worries, we're here to help you with this.
The Roku mobile app does not offer volume control for your TV when connected to a Roku player. The app only offers volume controls for Roku TV models or when using the mobile private listening feature.
The power button should be in the upper right corner of your phone screen.
If not, make sure that your Roku mobile app is up to date. The current version of the Roku mobile app is 4.7.
For more details, you can visit our Roku website: The free Roku mobile app
We hope you find this information helpful.

Riamie
You’re incorrect. There is no power button in the upper right as the image shows. And I uninstalled and reinstalled and updated to the latest version. ???
@aprokop2, do you have a Roku TV or a Roku device connected to a TV?
Roku device
@aprokop2, do you have the "TV Off" shortcut on your Home Screen and does it work to turn off your TV? If it doesn't work, the app wouldn't be able to turn off your TV either. A quick check on two of my devices (one with a working "TV Off" and one without) shows that the Power button appears on the app when connected to the one with a working "TV Off" and doesn't with the other, but they're also different models with different software versions.
This is the absolute stupidest lack of features. Not having a volume button is plain moronic.
Really Really hard to believe there is no volume control!
Enough with the Roku support folks trying to be polite.
Have recommended Roku to many people, but now, I don't know.
Marketing needs to tell engineering to add it.
