I purchase a remote pro. I wanted the earphone jack. But when the battery goes dead I have to put it on the charger usually overnight. That means I can't watch TV until the next morning or buy another remote. I had one with replaceable batteries. From what I can tell they stopped making the remotes with the earphone jack the uses replacement batteries. Someone didn't think that through before they stopped making that type.
