Try pointing the remote at the camera of your cellphone without pressing a key yourself, do you see flashes? It means the remote is constantly sending the Vudu command, it isn't the fault of the Roku itself so stop resetting it. You need a new remote.

how do you really stop Vudu and radio from popping up??

Do not tell me to go to settings, do not tell me to stand on my head until the blood runs from my toes and floods my brain with more of your dialog to do this and do that. Just stop the incessant interruptions to my searching for a different program to watch.

Use a safety pin and press the little reset button on your roku :).

This step is crucial when performing the troubleshooting. If you haven't tried the suggested order (remove > restart > re-install), we suggest giving it a shot once again.

Would you mind checking the remote for us if you have a Vudu shortcut button, on it?

Good tip. Definitely the remote. My bad remote was NOT a genuine Roku remote.

@RokuDanny-R After waking up my Roku Stick Plus or removing the remote battery and putting it in again, when I press any button it launches Vudu. 

Also on a few occasions the player has randomly started fast forwarding and I can’t stop it unless I press the home button.

we have two remotes to our roku, one has a vudu  button and the other one doesn’t— while the vudu  button on the remote that has it didn’t appear stuck or lodged, simply taking the batteries out of that remote and discontinuing use of that remote fixed the issue. i would suggest doing the same and replacing the remote maybe with one that doesn’t have the vudu button.
