In late January, I purchased three Roku Express 4K+ packages. Within the last week or so, all three are having issues with the remotes. All of the remotes will not work unless I remove the batteries for a second or two and then replace them. The remotes will work for a minute or two thereafter but then will go unresponsive again until I remove and replace the batteries all over again. I have to do this process over, and over, and over, again while watching TV. This is not a pairing or battery life issue as I've repaired them and tried new batteries multiple times. Please advise on how to resolve this problem.
Thanks
Welcome to the Roku Community, @jrogerso!
Thanks for letting us know about the issues you've been having with your Roku remote, and our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you. No worries! We're here to find you the best resolution possible.
In this case, kindly try to press and hold the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds to reset it. After doing so, pair it again to see if this will make any difference.
Furthermore, to ensure the proper functioning of your Roku Express 4K, it is important to remove any additional or unwanted remotes that might be connected to the device. This will help avoid any interference and ensure that the device responds only to the commands given by the intended remote.
To remove this, navigate to your Home screen. Scroll up or down to select Settings > Remotes & devices > Remove unwanted devices.
Let us know how it goes!
Best regards,
Carly
My remote is brand new and I've had this SAME problem since unboxing. My older remote (which is only about 2 months old) had the same issue and then suddenly one day, it stopped working altogether. The batteries are brand new too.
