To get started, could you let us know which Roku device you have and the type of Roku remote you're using? Does your remote have a pairing button on the back or under the battery cover?
In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the remote issue:

Restart your Roku device:
- Unplug the power cord for at least 5 seconds, then reconnect it.
- Once you see the Home screen, follow the next steps to pair your remote.

Pair your remote:
- If your remote has a pairing button, press and hold it for 5 seconds (or until the status light starts flashing) to enter pairing mode.
- If there's no pairing button, press and hold the Back and Home buttons for 5 seconds (or until the status light starts flashing).
