So I just upgraded from Roku Voice Remote Pro to the new 2nd edition with backlight. How can I unpair the older one? When I say "find my remote" it only beeps older one. I have done the "forget remote" routine! Moved old one out of the room which does not beep when trying it but new one also doesn't.

Thanks for your efforts and for letting us know the update. Please try removing the remote from the device (follow the first steps above) and, at the same time, resetting your old remote, by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds. If your remote has a battery compartment, try removing the batteries as well and check if it makes any difference.
Please let us know if the issue is fixed or reply back to the thread for further assistance, we will be glad to help you.
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply
I have done that and it keeps popping back in the list. So this means if I ask to find my "new remote" it defaults to the old one again
