My Roku express is a month old! The remote has randomly stopped working, tried everything to get it working again.. After factory reset it won’t work at all can’t even find it in the Roku app! I am not happy at all with it only being a month old!
Oh my, so it was working with the phone before? That’s too bad because when you factory reset, it clears everything – including the SSID and passphrase of your Wi-Fi network. Until that is reentered (which requires a real remote) the phone app won’t work. If you happen to have a universal remote laying around, and it has roku player codes, you could use that. I assume you’ve already tried basic stuff like changing the batteries in the remote. Oh and you may need to re-pair the remote after a factory reset (not sure about that!)
If that doesn’t work, on which side of a month old is it? Many stores have a 30-day exchange period, and some stores lengthen that during the holiday season.
I bought it in the Black Friday sales, I’ve replaced the batteries, reset it then factory reset. I bought the new box as my other remote was broke & because I have 6 living in my house I didn’t want to be using a phone to work it… I didn’t expect it to stop working it was fine all day then just stopped working.
