System freezing on Sony to and Roku remote despite multiple resests

I’ve had my Roku for a year and it has now frozen so many times.

It used to be resolved by pulling out Roku box cables and usb and d connectors, then waiting a couple seconds and remote would restart.

today it has frozen completely so I can’t attempt any settings or software updates or access any buttons.

imhabe removed remote batteries. Pressed factory reset with a paper clip on the Roku box but still nothing.

I can see the CHOOSE LANGUAGE screen now and I am unable to select any option.

have reset and unplugged 20 times.

still frozen.

absolutely driving me nuts, we are paying monthly subscriptions for Spotify and Apple TV and now tv and can’t watch anything.so incredibly frustrating. None of the You Tube help suggestions have worked so far.

 

anyone from Roku actually helping inside this community?

The 3930 came with a simple IR remote.  You can verify whether the remote is working by pointing it at a digital camera like the one in your phone and pressing a button.  You should see a flash on the camera's screen with every button press.
