Hi - I’m experiencing the same issue with one of my Roku remote as well as the Roku being slow and freezing as well. We bought it less than a year ago. What can we do?

Could you share a little bit more information about this experience that you have with your remote? How long have you been experiencing this?

Does a simple restart help fix the issue? Or what are the troubleshooting steps you have done so far?

Hi @RokuArjiemar,

Thanks for the quick response. We have a Roku Voice Remote.

The issue began maybe 6-8 months ago, we weren't sure what it was. We would disconnect and reconnect the remote via the troubleshooting instructions, and sometimes it would work. Once we resorted to resetting the entire Roku from scratch. Ultimately, we noticed over the last few months that simple battery changes fixed the problem every time, however, were changing them every 2 weeks or so.

Have you checked the support article that we have provided on how to fix your issue? Please make sure we don't miss any single steps.

The battery life depends on the capacity of the battery and the usage of the remote, especially when using the voice command.

For how long have you been using this Roku voice remote?
