My Roku remote worked well for a year on the original LG TV, but it failed and was replaced with a Sony.   I can not get the Roku remote to turn on the new TV, but once on it will control the TV.  What is the next step in trouble shooting?

Re-program the remote for your Sony, skip the first positive result clicking YES, lie to it, try the next one that mutes the music.

Additionally, the Roku remote will not adjust the volume or mute the sound.  Hope this is helpful.

Hopefully you can go to: Settings -> Remotes & devices -> Remotes [select your remote] -> Set up remote for TV control and get it set up for your TV.
