The only remotes sold by Roku to control Roku tv's are the Voice remotes, the simple $14.99 remote won't control a Roku tv. You can go to your local Walmart, pick up voice remote for $19.98, they usually have many in stock. As for how many you can purchase from Roku, I have bought 4 at a time many times.
