The range for activating the voice feature on the 2nd Edition Remote seems to be WAY less than the 1st Edition.
I used to be able to stand approximately 15 to 20 feet away from the Remote Pro 1st Edition and it could hear me perfectly; however, on this new 2nd Edition device I have to be within 2 feet of it for the voice activation to work.
The volume of the TV has not increased so I see no other reason for this detrimental change.
Will there be an update to fix this??
Hi, @Pastevenson Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!
We appreciate you bringing your Roku remote 2nd edition issues to our attention, and we’re looking forward to resolving this matter.
Before we proceed, could you please let us know when the issue occurred? Additionally, when did you purchase the remote, and what is the serial number of the device that is paired with it?
We also suggest resetting your Roku remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds. After doing so, pair it again and try using the voice command feature to see if this makes any difference.
We'll wait for your reply.
Thanks,
Jharra
